We are happy to welcome Her Majesty's Inspectors of Education to the school and nursery class next week. Our visitors will be spending time in nursery so you may see some unfamiliar faces around during drop off and collection times. Please don't be afraid to speak to these visitors - they would love to hear your views on our nursery.
Come and See, Stay and Play - Fruit tasting session
We would like to invite you to come and see what is happening in the nursery on the last Wednesday of every month. Please come in to nursery with your child when you bring them at 9.00am/12.45pm and have a look at the wall displays, your child's folder, or just stay and play with your child for a while.
Our next 'Come and See, Stay and Play' day is on Wednesday February 24th. We will be having our fruit tasting sessions at snack that day. Please come along and taste some different fruits with your child.
New Drop Off/Collection procedure for Fridays
Our last Care Commission report stated that we should find more ways of encouraging parents/carers to visit the main playroom.
On Fridays we will be using the main playroom for drop off and collection. You will come in through the bottom door. We will put up signs to remind you. Please feel free to have a look around the playroom at this time. We encourage you to go into the main playroom at any drop off or collection time. We welcome your comments about what you see in the playroom - wall displays, interest tables etc. The comment book is available at any time for your comments.
Childsmile
Talks for parents/carers will be next Friday at 11.30am and 12.45pm. Childsmile coating will be applied to the children's teeth on 11th March. Please return the permission forms as soon as possible.
Snack Money
Please pay snack money on a Monday. We need this money early in the week to pay for the weekly snack shop. You can also pay in advance for the whole term We are NOT funded for providing snack and have no means of paying for your child's snack other than through your weekly £1.50 contribution.
If snack money is not paid you will receive a reminder slip from staff.
What are we learning?
Chinese New Year - with art activities, Chinese writing and Dragon Dancing!
Healthy eating - we are learning about food groups and a healthy diet. Please come to the Come and See Stay and Play' session and join your child trying some different kinds of fruit.
